I had some slow scans at first but upgraded from 8gb to 32gb ram and also got some coaching from customer service (Frank) to get me up to speed. The scanner itself works great, but make sure to contact them to get the minimum specs required for a laptop - it will make a difference in how the scanner performs. The fact that one of the employees of Medit (an engineer?) posts on the cad-Ray Facebook group speaks volumes of the vendor-mfg relations. Their online presence makes it easy to get help via messaging, social media, or phone. Cad-ray won out due to their efficiency, speed of service, and knowledge.
